List me performance car options - 6.5k MAX

One of my neighbours/fellow car enthusiast is looking to buy a car to replace his modified Evo 6 that he recently sold on PH. This was running around 360BHP. The reason he sold it was that he wanted something slightly more modern, another one of his requirements is the car needs to be "easily sold" as he gets bored real quick so this is a major factor, so I am thinking nothing thirsty (better than 18MPG) with high insurance.

So to summarise:

Performance car
Nothing thirsty (20+MPG)
4 seats (at least)
Younger than 10 years old
Easy to sell on
Can be a fast diesel too
Options to remap the car (which means turbo is a must)
200bhp+

What are his options?

Thank you.

This is a 'list a load of cars' thread not a spec me thread. He doesn't post here, he can't engage in the thread, he can't answer questions asking for more info or feedback what he thinks about suggestions. It's just going to be a list of cars. He seems to want the moon on a stick anyway, fast, prestigious, classy, and only 6 grand? Great, when he finds a £6k Porsche 911 Turbo can you get me one as well?

Sorry, it needs to have at least 4 seats and "some class" whatever that means! LOL

Are there any other requirements that weren't stated in the OP? All these threads seem to start with a vague request, and then only when people make the effort to make suggestions, the criteria comes out of the woodwork!

He doesn't mind if its less power than the evo he had.

The only reason I'm asking here is because I have a bias opinion :-)

E46 330Ci?

If you search long and hard you'll find a decent example under 100k mileage for that money, I should know, i've been looking at them for a few months now :(

e60 5 series, 530D or 535D would both be good shouts.

Can probably get one circa 100k for that budget. I loved mine and often on long drives regret selling it. That said 120k sees a £2k+ service so may even want to consider higher mileage looked after cars :)

Edit: Above is pointless if he's not doing long journeys though... S4 perhaps?

Too be honest he is going to struggle to get a better car than his 6 for the money.

Mazda 6 MPS fits the bill of slightly more modern but after driving a 360bhp evo 6 will get bored of really quickly. Although a mazda 3 mps will most likely be easier to sell.
