Spec me a scary game :D

Most have been mentioned but STALKER has only been mentioned a couple of times

It has to be the most atmospheric game ever made, going into an area in the dark with the lighting and the sounds, theres nothing like the relief of finding what you wanted and trying to get out of there as fast as possible without seeing a Bloodsuckers eyes in the dark

Metro 2033 is interesting, its not scary but it is quite creepy, bit too linear, amazing graphics though
 
Call of Cthulhu is good, I'm playing that right now. Stuck on the ship Gun part, can't see what I'm supposed to shoot.

clive barkers undying ( don't get mixed up with Jericho ) is awesome, sadly I can't replay it, the graphics are too dated to get immersed for me.
 
Well I'm just at pripyat on stalker myself, did it last night! OMFG the underground levels are scary as ****!!!!!

Epic win.
 
Fear 1 and 2 EPIC scary if you got a sub woofer and wnat the sound a lil loud ;). Also doom 3 will make you C@@@ yourself in parts was a really smart game with nice placement of zombies in dark cornors when you go for medi packs :D.

Is condemned the one where guys start throwing TVs at you. I'm sorry but I found that just too funny to be scary.

It's where they come at you with bits of iron pipe & you dont see them as they often come at you from behind.
You only realise when you hear your skull crunch!
 
^^I was looking at that earlier on a site. Looks interesting. I also saw a different Cthulu title, one I hadn't seen before and btw has anyone seen or played Black Mirror? The second one came out Q3 last year iirc.

+1 to this. Especially when your gun jams/you run out of (very limited in early stages) ammo as it's running to claw your face off :p
 
Downfall is pretty scary...

It cost me about a fiver, great little game. One of the few games I have completed

Dead Space was the last 'scary' game I played.

Shame it gets so repetitive 3/4s of the way through though.
