I need to drill some 8mm diameter holes into some pretty tough old school bricks to attach some poles for some CCTV cams.
My Bosch cordless hammer drill can't really cope with it, taking ages to drill one hole and barely touched the surface even though the reviews on Amazon say it's good for masonry.
I've been looking at this Titan SDS drill on Screwfix (https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb872sds-3-27kg-electric-hammer-drill-240v/310vv) do you think this will be up to the job?
I don't want to spend loads as I don't know when I'll next need one and I'm not bothered about it being cordless, rather have more bang for buck with mains power.
I did have this massive old SDS drill once that was like a big tank but sold it off years ago when I was skint. How times change.
