Spec me a SDS Hammer Drill

I remember when the water board replaced the lead pipe in my property and were sickened when they discovered they'd be using a hole cutting tool on engineering bricks. It took them the best part of 5 hours just to drill the hole alone. :D

I made that mistake once. I was up a ladder trying to drill a 4" hole through engineering brick. Not only did it wreck the core drill but my arms were useless for the following week.

Just to update.. The £50 Titan drill I linked to in my original post sliced through the bricks with ease. If it can manage these then it should work on anything I throw at it in the future. :)
If it makes you feel even better I bought the titan over 6 years ago, it's done a whole house renovation and all diy jobs, cutting up concrete, chasing and still going great.

Extremely good value tool.

Yep it's been great so far but only used it a handful of times just hammer drilling, definitely a good purchase.
