Hi peps,

Right thinking of getting a new system build together but not sure what to go for so am after a bit of input from the fourm.

Looking for whole system from psu up.

Only spec must be baisd around an Asus Rog board PSU must be modular and corsair and will be a gaming system.

All ideas welcome.

what's your budget, and by whole system do you mean monitor/keyboard/mouse/operating system ?

Sorry should have said what I am after spec for is as follows.
Case, Asus Rog board, Cpu, Cpu cooler, Ram, Psu which must be moduler and pref corsair, graph card, ssd op drive, hdd for other files.
All for around £1000 mark give or take £100.

Got a rough idea in my mind just after some other input.

This would be my gaming system my current system is going into the folding business.

Also should be fairly future prof.

what's the system likely to be used for.

to give you a rough idea, slightly over your 1k budget, depends on what you want as to whether you sacrifice the ssd for a better gfx card, if you don't plan to use sli then drop the psu to a 650/750 model.

without losing the ssd, changing the 560ti to a 570 raises the cost to £1,130.

amd wise, as reaper mentioned are behind at the moment, waiting for their new release, but you'd be looking at something like :

processor wise :

AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1100T Black Edition 3.30GHz (Socket AM3)

motherboard

Asus Crosshair V Formula AMD 990FX

with everything else kept the same price is £1,148.41.

mp the gene is a matx board, it'll look tiny in the case you've chosen.

wasn't aware it was matx fowler tbh, but i'd be more concerned if it was a big mobo in a small case, leaves room or airflow etc, and the possibility of moving to a larger mobo in the future if needs be.
