Hi, this is my first post and I'm after some help on a PC build that will mainly be for gaming and just general browsing. My budget is around £1000 with a monitor and a operating system. I have no peripherals. I don't know whether to go AMD or intel and I also like the look of the sapphire radeon r9 280x toxic for a gpu. I would like to play recent launch games on ultra settings as well

Okay so still on the same budget however I have narrowed my system down. I've bought the msi r9 280x GPU, the CPU I will get is the i5 4670k. But I would like a red/gold/black colour scheme with the RAM and case, preferably a windowed case I also would like a aftermarket CPU cooler that will fit as I would like the option to over clock at a later date.

Great thanks I like the look of those.:)

Just a few more questions before I buy, will a 600w PSU be powerful enough and will the cooler master hyper 212 fit on a msi z87-g45 board in a corsairs carbide 300r windowed case

Yes to all your questions :) Just make sure that the power supply is a good branded one. The Superflower in Stulids build would be ideal.

yes 600w will be enough for a 280x but as said make sure its a good one corsair, be quiet, super flower, seasonic and yes that coolermaster cpu cooler will fit im using the same case with no window with the xigmatek aegir and it fits fine with another 120mm fan on the back

another thing if that board is dual channel on slots 1 and 3 i wouldnt of thought you would get high profile ram under the cpu cooler...
just list what you want to buy and we will tell you if its all fine :D

No real preference on ram as long as it is good quality and works fine with everything I'm happy.:D so if you could suggest a 8gb of ram that would fit under the cooler master heat sink that would be great.:)
