Under £50 that does even cooking zones on the bread. Fed up of buying toasters that cook one side more than the other or only cook 2/3rds of the bread.

Anyone recommend a good one?

Does Anyone Want Any Toast?

looks like @Merlin5 's pictures have gone from his, magnum opus, toaster thread. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/forums/threads/new-toaster-test.18762737/

Have a tefal single ~10" slot toaster , which will take two regular or one long sourdough type , for 10+ years, and would replace with similar, if (lord knows why) it broke,
no point in having 2 slots if you don't need them from an kwhr perspective - one of the few contenders is the exhorbitant KitchenAid. ...
doesn't everyone have a lifetime Amazon wish list.

Recently seen the side loader toasters, absolutely don't get it, like why does the heat not burn through the top?! Damn expensive tho...

I'd love some toast from time to time but the trouble is that the bread I bake now is too large for the toaster! I always bake bloomers and they're about 8" wide which is wider than the toaster.

There is a brilliant joke about the invention of sliced bread here but I am too tired.

Occasionally, when we're towards the end of the loaf, I can cut a couple of slices that will just fit in the toaster and then this fantasticness appears.

Why would I want horrible, nasty chorleywood bread? :shudder:

Just need a wider toaster.

Thread bump:D

I'm in the market for a new toaster, my breville packed up. Is that sage one any good, its quite pricey, would want a 4 slice one, the sage toaster is £99, I can get some off that with a discount I have, but is there anything cheaper but well made.
On the slicer, maybe a 2 slicer is better though as it saves some room.
