Veg oil is suitable for older mechanical injection diesels, and cooking your chips in.

Biodiesel is made from veg oil, but the resulting fuel can go in pretty much any diesel engine. It's what topgear did their overnight endurance race in the bmw with. And you really don't want it on your food.

fair enough, suppose they are a good bit lower than the other things you are looking at - there's still a fair whack of room in the boot even with the seats (well enough for a pram probably)

what about a big beast of a bus like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mitsubish...8946781?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3a832e355d

Wanted one of the japwagons last time around but my wife hates them (thinks I might take up green laning again if I get anything 4x4!)

Before i even opened this thread i thought Range Rover.

Then i saw the need for lots of seats and i changed to the jap equivalent, why dont you go for the obvious choice of a LandCruiser? These things are epic and give you tons of space and a fantastic driving position.

eg (loads about):

For a huge wagon the interior space looks to be smaller than our current zafira, the back seats are up against the back door.

Given that you only actually need 6 seats, how about a multipla?

Had a look at those, no automatics (that I could find).

Well we've just picked up a 55 plate C8. 84k, very nice to drive, loads of space and loads of toys. 12 months MOT as of this morning too. Blew the budget by £150 though, can't have everything I suppose :)

And it's always nice to see that it's been looked after...

The only thing missing is bluetooth, but that's not a deal breaker for me. Now to shift the zafira!
