Spec me an easy WSAD based game for the Mrs?

is she into shooters? try half life 2, great story on it, gets ya more used to the aiming and pressing wsad etc for then playing counterstrike:source? then portal bit more advanced once used to the engine and physics?

also, sims 3 is great i was hooked on it for a few weeks, could spend years on that thing so i got it out of my system lol

:)

to the skyrim comments ^

i used to play morrowind on xbox which is a pad obviously back in the day befor the 360, then i moved to pc gaming.

and due to playing fps shooters for years, and still to this day (battlefield 3 awsome!)

i find WSAD configuration good for any game, car games (track mania), LFS racing simulator (i use W=Gas S=brake A=down shift D=up shift and mouse steering left and right), oblivion then skyrim (easyer to aim bows due to playing shooters for years), any game that doesnt really use these buttons i set it up to use them.

I am serious? Feel free to watch my youtube gameplay videos of Skyrim, all played with the controller. Youtube name bhavvv.

Of course it does, and it was built for the controller.

It pllays unbelievably good with a controller on the PC, you just wont ever know till you try it.

Maybe it was built with the controller in mind.

But I don't think it plays well at all with one.

I had the "joy" of sitting at my mates the other night while he played it on his PC with a xbox360 controller.

Watching him try to aim even his sword was amusing.

Horses for courses though, innit :)

Controller... Why just why?!!?

Do love the quake 3 defrag suggestion :D thats a bit of a steep learning curve but definitely no better way to learn how to play an fps with keyboard + mouse.

Sorry but regardless of skill, i can not watch Skyrim being playing on anything but a PC with a mouse and keyboard, doing so would in my opinion sully its name.

Also make me burst into fits of laughter.

I played through Morrowind and Oblivion with a controller and found both games exceptionally easy, even with the difficulty cranked right up. I was a warrior in both though, wouldn't fancy playing as an archer or mage with a pad so much.

My other half's first wasd game was also portal. Early on it's perfect, not much going on, can go at your own pace, no big distractions etc.

Edit: And she completed it :) I was so proud.
