Spec me an epic game

Hi Folks,

I'm pretty bored with pc gaming at the moment. I'm a die hard FPS fan and have mostly been playing COD:4 (didn't like cod:W@W so sold it) and UT3.

I was thinking of restarting COD:4 and gaining levels again just to make it more interesting but I am looking for something a bit different to do.

The last epic game I played was probably FF7. I wouldn't mind something like that again. I have played Diablo 2 through to near the end but loast saved games during a format and don't really fancy starting that again. I have also played a lot of baldurs gate 2 so don't want to go back to that. Also, I wasn't a fan of oblivion and don't like the look of FO3.

I was thinking something along the lines of the witcher, or maybe titan quest. I don't really know much about either of them. I'm after a bit of a no brainer that has a fastish moving story line that I can just progress at my own pace.

Fallout 3 is about the most epic game you can get on the PC right now. Give it a chance as its superb and nothing like oblivion.
 
If you really liked Baldur's Gate 2, Neverwinter Nights 2 is worth a play, though it's nowhere near as good as BG I still liked it. Actually for NWN2 I prefered the Mask of the Betrayer expansion to the original campaign - and I haven't played storm of Zehir yet but with the free-travelling main map it uses it's a bit more like BG again. Anyway, you can get it pretty cheap now so give it a go.

And +1 for Mass Effect. Not brilliant but still good.

Another vote for Neverwinter Nights 2 if you after an rpg

What about World of Warcraft if you don't mind playing an mmo?
 
Fallout 3 / either of the kotors / nwn2 / mass effect provide hours upon hours of gameplay. So go have a look at some footage / demos !

Just played the Witcher demo last night and it's really good, get the demo of it :)

I also completed Titan Quest on normal, epic and legendary mode (which are basically the same as Normal, Nightmare and Hell mode in Diablo II) and really enjoyed it every time. You'll like it if you liked Diablo II

If you're looking for a good FPS game then definitely get Crysis :)
