spec me an fx cpu and mobo

what voltage did you run the cpu nb at?
I know thuban had a better imc and nb-cpu could clock higher but 3.2!! nice.

Must get round to benching my old x2 555,= x4 b55, to work out the gains from cpu-nb like i was meant to ages ago in bumhugs discussion.

I ran 1.4v in the CPU NB. I wish I'd kept that chip, but I was playing a fair bit of dawn of war 2 back then, which was disappointing.

^ I might give that a go :) Wasn't sure how many volts I could safely put on the CPU-NB.

It beggars belief how someone can ask for advice and have that attitude. We don't appreciated being called fanboys, there's very few people here that aren't **** hot and know their hardware inside out.

Go intel it's the only way
Except it's not. I'm gaming here on a 7850 with a 8320 piledriver. 1080p, eyecandy turned up and I'm not experiencing any slowdown. Even in games like Skyrim which aren't supposed to run well at all on AMD. Don't believe the Hype.

Would love to see you in Shogun 2 then with all the settings turned up and having 4 players per side with max unit count set on....

I don't know how a bottleneck works exactly or how poor the a10 is at gaming but I do know that I can run far cry 3 at ultra settings at 60fps with very sync on, and about 89-96 with very sync turned off. GPU usage is only about 98% on one gpu and mid 50's on the other.

Now there may well he a heavy bottleneck but running latest games fc3 hitman absolution etc at the very highest settings and achieving close on 100 fps in each game is pretty good to me. Still decided to upgrade bet I'm disappointed from the upgrade.

I honestly can't see me gaining upwards of 50 fps in these games like some claim and the even if I did would I notice them????.

I think the time I would notice may not be for a couple of years by which time I dare say there will be newer better hardware anyways

That's fine if I played that game but if you read I will only be playing car Sims with the occasional blast of new games single player.

Also I never play online with pc xbox exclusively there for me

Which GPU wise is a long way off the same type of grunt you'd get from a 7870 Crossfire.

Mid range gaming, I'd have absolutely no problems recommending an FX8320, it's easily one of the best price/performance CPU's at this moment.

Well hopefully this will keep me going till april/may time when I should be in a position to go a full Intel building for myself and then pass on this one to my oldest son.

Isn't that just throwing money away? Could have bought Intel now, you had the budget for exactly the same stuff you'll get recommended to buy in X time, and then kept your A10 stuff for your son.

Yes and no its my daughters birthday in couple weeks time and she has asked for a pc for her room so I thought she could have the a10 as all she will be doing is movies and Internet Facebook games etc. And I think my son would look at me as if I was a wierdo if I handed him the a10 tbh.

So next payday wee cheap case and she's good Togo as I have memory hard drives and psu all spare

Also on a side note I'm considering selling the 2 gfx cards and going a single card route, how much I get for them will all depend on how much I get for them but if I get enough for a 7950/7970 then all be happy with that

Begins with A.
And I don't care for the spin, until you've refunded people, you've stolen a few hundred quid.

I already 100% know you're one and the same.
