Spec me an LED Torch

I've also ordered an EC03 after my nitecore EA4 gave up the ghost. I've also ordered a Samsung 40T 21700 cell. I do have a couple of questions about the battery though. Lipo cells on my RC buggy have to be storage charged at 3.8v per cell are these 40T cells the same or can I leave it in the torch charged. It's not a huge amount of use to me if I have to charge it before each use. What do you guys do with the lipos.

The EC03 arrived today - slight change in the beam colour temperature, where the EC01 looks like a cool white and the EC03 looks more of a daylight.

I haven't had the chance to compare the two in the dark yet, but the EC03 doesn't feel immediately brighter but has more spread. So right now I'm feeling a little underwhelmed.

My ec03 arrived today. I can't get it to you or though. The torch refuses to turn on. It will switch on when connected to the usb c without a battery or with a battery but won't turn on when it's just a battery inside. The batteries I have all work fine in my blf a6. Did I just get a dud?

Been mucking about with mine over the last for days, and its great!

Brighter than the EC01, and looks like a nicer colour. Not sure how it will fair in terms of battery use, will do some comparisons with the EC03 with the same model of battery :)

Well I got it working in the end. Just cleaned and fiddled with every part of the torch and it started working.

I have another couple of questions now. Is there anyway to stop the green lights on the switch without unscrewing the battery? Also I currently have Panasonic ncr18650b batteries. These were the recommended ones 4 years ago. Would I see an improvement in performance by buying some Samsung 40 t 21700 batteries?

My first impressions are that it's a great light. It doesn't shine as far as I thought it would. I would say it is only about 20% brighter than my blf A6. That torch has been the best value I have ever got out of a product. It's been with me for 4 years traveling around the world. It's been dropped, lost, dunked and looks like it's been through the wars. It still works though and is as bright as the day I got it. It's so versatile as well due to the area it lights up.
