Those are some lovely torches there. I really like the look of the zebra light but it's way out of my budget. I know what you mean about small torches that pack a punch. So many people would be shocked at the power of the blfa6 because of its small size. I had bigger torches with more power but it's been my favourite for 4 years now.

It is strange to think of those dim lights on the bikes. Makes you wonder why we even bothered. Torches often didn't help much in seeing further than 50m. The dark was such a different place back then

darker nights are comming in .. so looking for summit small that holds a decent charge to walk the dog with . I dont need to see 3 miles down the road BUT has to be bright .. £25-30 quid i guess and preferably not from bangood .

I like the USB charging . Got anything with a smaller head ? its probably a little ott just for walking the dog.. something more edc/pocketable as the wife will have it also

Never noticed this thread before.

I bought the Astrolux EC03 a couple of months ago and was brilliant until now.

I was using it yesterday at about 20% brightness (approx 4 mins usage) and started smelling burning looked at the torch and could see small amount of smoke coming from it (didn't feel hot) .. I took it apart & removed the battery straight away

I've tried it today and seems to work but there is still the smell of burning.

Anyone dealt with banggood for replacements?

cheers was hoping more for a replacement rather than a refund, had a reply from them today asking for a video of the burning smell :confused:

I dismantled the torch and can see no signs of burning anywhere
