What are the monthly fees like for LoTRO?
Not sure, been a while since I played it. The usual kind of price though, £8 or £10 or thereabouts

The only way MMOs will stop being a grind, is if one comes along which allows the players themselves to expand the world, creating their own content. And that is a path fraught with its own problems.
most if not all mmos are a grind fest in one way or other![]()
.... there hasnt really been a breakthrough in the genre for a while.
Im not finding wow a grindfest at all. Have barely touched quests except to grab good rewards and just levelled up with PvP and dungeons. 73 mage now and its been anything but grindy. I guess theyre trying to get everyone up before cata.
The grind starts at max level that's why you haven't found it grindy yet. Sorry.![]()

One jumps straight out at me in that case. Laurelin Server, LOTRO.
I was hoping that your question was going to be "spec me an MMO that's not..... dungeons, dragons and magic" I might have been interested in what people said
What are the various Asian MMOs like?
You should give Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO) a try. It now uses a free 2 play model which has a lot of content which is free. www.ddo.com
Lots of euro players on the Thelanis server so its very busy 24/7
Seconded! You won't have much fun solo, but amazingly for a ftp game, there's a lot of really decent people playing it.
LOTOR is going free to play later on this year as well isn't it?
Yep, but with lots of limited functionalities.
