Hey guys,
Just decided to through out my last mp3 player, and basically looking for one that's quite decent, but I'm not too concerned about storage size (at least to the degree that I don't need a huge iPod or anything).

Any recommendations?

necro.

I found the best bet was combining phone and mp3 player - sony phones with digital walkman hardware sound great and you get decent battery life and can add in storage cards for extra space - don't have to carry anything extra and are more likely to have your phone on you than an mp3 player :D but obviously that will depend person to person.

Creative ZEN?

Theres plenty of different ones of them. Seen some good reviews from them (Not sure about the Stone one)

Also, get some decent headphones, makes a huge differance.

i just got the sansa view after been recommended on here, its a quality little player, crisp music playback and excellent video playback quality.

i got the 16gb version it stores a ton, can be expanded with microsd, record off the radio and more!!

sansa and sony are best imo, sound quality from sony is fantastic, both have fm radios, and better battery life than iPods, might also want some decent earphones to really get the best out of the mp3 player

little bit of trivia for you all, "Sansa" is actually Japanese for "apple"
and it's one of the biggest competitors of iPod in US from what i've been told

noooooooo. creative are nasty...... :D

if you want video, i'd get a 16gb sony nwz-s639f. if you don't need video, you could get a sansa clip 8gb for 40 quid and that'll leave more money for better headphones.

Cowon S9 or Sansa Fuze.

I don't think that the Sansa brand name comes directly from "apple" - aren't they a child cmopany of Sandisk?

yes, sansa is made by sandisk, but as a tongue in cheek marketing move, they called the range "sanza" which is the japanese word for "apple"
