Just make that there's nothing crucial on that drive. It's almost 3 years ago when my Samsung 840 EVO died without any hints of giving up on life. The machine was normally on 24/7 and one morning it decided to simply give up on me, not even giving me a chance to retrieve any data.
I'll probably lose some odd bits and pieces if it goes suddenly but I keep multiple backups of my data and one of my laptops is pretty much a mirror of the environment of the machine the 840 Evo is in.
