Im fed up off all these shooting games. They are great but last 5 years or so its all I play.

I liked assasins creed but got bored off it.

I liked batman and will get sequel soon.

I like uncharted but very short games.

I Liked fallout 3. I want something like this but I found fallout vegas boring is it? I only played 1-2 hrs. Games a bit dark and depressing also.

Im looking for a game like ff7,ff8,ff9 etc..a deep story, not to fast paced action. Is really immersive and still at the same time fun.

Perhaps ff13? Or maybe Skyrim? I have beyond good and evil on my ps3 should I try that? I also have grim fandango and a game called syberia.. They are not much action at all though. I considered shenmue and zelda but they are old.


Just want soemthing different. Any suggestions.

Skyrim definitely. Also have another crack at FO:NV as it does indeed start a bit pants but its a really good game.

Definitely recommend Skyrim, greatest game i have ever played.

I only ever played FPS games prior to it, but i'm not sure i'll go back now

Is it like oblvion? I enjoyed oblvivion except I thought the combat sucked.

Fallout new vegas I found real boring so it does get better and worth sticking to...its so slow at start and so simialr to f3. Sme indoor environemnts and monsters

EYE Divine Cybermancy. It's still a shooter, but with heavy rpg mechanics up there with the likes of Deus Ex and System Shock 2. It has been consistently praised for having the best hacking system ever implemented in a game. The lighting, level design and surreal and expansive world looks wonderful imo.

I have system shock 2 and tried to play it the other day but tis a bit old.

looks good but quite poor reviews on main gaming sites. Though user reviewd mixed also, 10s and 4s lol? How much is game its only downloadable? no hard copy?

Don't get Final 13, it is pretty ****. You could try:

Valkyria chronicles (ps3)
child of eden (consoles)
hd remakes of Ico and shadow of colossus (ps3)
Or go older and play the best jrpg's Persona 3 and 4 for ps2

ff13 sucks So I heard I have ffx unplayed but will wait for hd release.

Ico and shadow I also may buy.

Mass effect or maybe stalker kinda similar to fallout

Completed me games but thats what Im after. Just completed deus ex revolutions also. I have stlaker but I find it hard and cant get into it really , thats complete 2009 mod.

If you play SS2 then I would suggest modding it with at least the 'SHTUP' texture pack, if nothing else.

Enslaved or Brutal Legend?

Both are pretty short and on the easy side but also have engaging stories and characters.

I was olaying enslaved last night, its ok

If you like the FF game I recommend The Last Reminent. Prob the closest thing you will get to a modern single player FF game on the pc made by same people as FF also.

It's a tad confusing to start with but hang with it. Even the tech support guys are brilliant if you need them, personal emails back really quick.

Skyrim is amazing!

Alan Wake is one to look out for, is coming the PC soon... was great on console!

I played withcer 2 and loved the prolouge and act 1 and act2 got boring so i stopped playing- Ioverth path

If your attention span doesn't hold to progressing a story, which not being rude it doesn't sound like it will, then you're better off sticking with the FPS's.

Either that, or force yourself to go back and give FO:NV & Witcher 2 a second chance and try and finish them perhaps?

I finished ff7,ff8,ff9, fallout 3, deus ex, deus ex hr, all the gta games RDR, heavy rain......just some of the big long stroy games I completed.

Withcer 2 was my no.1 ever game until act2 I personally found it dragged on and the missions not so much fun. Plus half the tiem I couldnt find were to go and the markers didnt work.

Fallout nv felt like an expansion of f3 and I put in 100+hrs into f3, so I cba with it.

just the menus and chat boxes are pretty poor. They can be hard to read and look very poor quality. I mean like dated. basic

Whats the point off it. I am doing missions but the shooting is quiet simple adn its impossible to play staelth as guards hear/see u from miles away and crouching does nothing.

So far I am the point I collected the cyberbrain thing.

I've set the enemy reinforcement level to as low as it can be, as I found the respawn a bit too much (some areas are totally fine, others are a nightmare). Maybe try doing that as well?

ok ill try that. Whats annoying me is the game just feels ''cheap''. I know its an idie game but it really lacks polish especailly interafaces adn talking menus and walking back and forth same are to do missions.

Lots of good recommendations in here, but in all honesty, if Witcher 2 was your all time favourite game, even for only an act or 2, then go back, get back into it & finish it

yrh fair enuff. but i mean its like all i play is fps then i play another game around it once in a while, like fps is my bread and butter ??? Last non fps game was prob deus ex HR but that was kinda fps as well, before that Withcer 2?

anyways....as for withcer 2. When I played prologue and act 1 I was like OMG this is best game I ever played. Now I was on act 2 and I dunno i just lost desire to play it tbh

When you say you played Assassins Creed, is that 1 or 2? Because 1 is very repetitive. From AC2 on wards, they became amazing! Not completed Brotherhood yet, but enjoying it so far.

I am on acb. I completed ac2 and enjoyed it all but acb is to simialr to ac2. Like fallut vegas is simailr to fallout 3 its not like a new game.
