Spec me something different

Witcher 1 is a cracking game. So much more better then witcher 2, which is also a good game. But after now playing the first and on the last chapter it is a far better game, with so much more to do.

Witcher 2 is a lot easier to get into but never reaches the heights the fist does. The 2nd is pretty enjoyable all the way through while the 1st can be a slog to get to the last half of the 2nd chapter where things really start picking up.

I would recommend Skyrim i didn't particually like the combat in Oblivion either but it feels more varied and engaging so the game is actually enjoyable now.

If your attention span doesn't hold to progressing a story, which not being rude it doesn't sound like it will, then you're better off sticking with the FPS's.

Either that, or force yourself to go back and give FO:NV & Witcher 2 a second chance and try and finish them perhaps?
 
New Vegas is indeed slow to start, but it's great fun when you have some good weapons. I loved the Old World Blue's DLC, and now working through Dead Money. Really fun game.

Skyrim too is awesome, as is Fallout 3.

So I am not allowed to get bored?

I finished ff7,ff8,ff9, fallout 3, deus ex, deus ex hr, all the gta games RDR, heavy rain......just some of the big long stroy games I completed.

Withcer 2 was my no.1 ever game until act2 I personally found it dragged on and the missions not so much fun. Plus half the tiem I couldnt find were to go and the markers didnt work.

Fallout nv felt like an expansion of f3 and I put in 100+hrs into f3, so I cba with it.

The game concept is fantastic and where it works, it works really well.

It's buggy as hell though (at least in co-op) and me and my housemate managed to complete it in about a week, that being said this was when it first came out, so it may have been patched by now ;)

just the menus and chat boxes are pretty poor. They can be hard to read and look very poor quality. I mean like dated. basic

Alan Wake is meant to coming to Steam at the start of 2012, can't wait!

I think Skyrim is better than Oblivion for sure, you'll get addicted. Such a huge world and lots to do, just sucks you in!

Whats the point off it. I am doing missions but the shooting is quiet simple adn its impossible to play staelth as guards hear/see u from miles away and crouching does nothing.

So far I am the point I collected the cyberbrain thing.

I've set the enemy reinforcement level to as low as it can be, as I found the respawn a bit too much (some areas are totally fine, others are a nightmare). Maybe try doing that as well? :)

ok ill try that. Whats annoying me is the game just feels ''cheap''. I know its an idie game but it really lacks polish especailly interafaces adn talking menus and walking back and forth same are to do missions.

Your OP was "Im fed up off all these shooting games. They are great but last 5 years or so its all I play."

You mentioned boring, and getting bored of many games. So I don't think assuming your attention span was short was unfair.

Just thought I'd mention it ;)

Lots of good recommendations in here, but in all honesty, if Witcher 2 was your all time favourite game, even for only an act or 2, then go back, get back into it & finish it :)

yrh fair enuff. but i mean its like all i play is fps then i play another game around it once in a while, like fps is my bread and butter ??? Last non fps game was prob deus ex HR but that was kinda fps as well, before that Withcer 2?

anyways....as for withcer 2. When I played prologue and act 1 I was like OMG this is best game I ever played. Now I was on act 2 and I dunno i just lost desire to play it tbh
 
When you say you played Assassins Creed, is that 1 or 2? Because 1 is very repetitive. From AC2 on wards, they became amazing! Not completed Brotherhood yet, but enjoying it so far.

I swear you make a new thread everyday man. You have a problem :p

I am on acb. I completed ac2 and enjoyed it all but acb is to simialr to ac2. Like fallut vegas is simailr to fallout 3 its not like a new game.
 
may sound silly but have you played the Lego games? they are silly and easy, but still i find them addictive and a nice refresh from all the shooters.

as far as the stories they are are like the movie, so if you like star wars, indy, harry, jack sparrow, batman then you should have some fun in a relaxed atmosphere

PS i actually preffered FallOut new Vegas to Fallout 3. the start is pants, but once you get to new vegas it gets better imo
