I think his will go higher if he leaves prime running for longer. But it's not bad as in wrong-bad, it's just a little high imo.

If he's getting 70 just on prime95 just guess what it would be with both prime95 + furmark running !

Run the 2 together at stock before trying on overclocked.

If you are talking about the frequency and voltages you posted in the CPU-Z screenshot above then no, it will not shorten the life of the CPU, at least not before it lives out its effectiveness anyway.

I opened it without him, to turn off oc genie. He was alright with it.

How should I go about updating the bios if I need to.

Basically should I update the bios, if yes how.

It is a bit complicated to update it for the first time.

What's the CPU fan speed? Goes up to over 2000 rpm, I would expect around 1250 or under (50%) at idle.

I turned on fan speed and put it to automatic. Sounds gone all the way down. I can now only hear my dvd drive.
