@REITSY does the monitor come with a Display Port Cable ?

OC just told me they have no ETA on the LG.

What would be better out of these two ?

My basket at overclockers uk:

The Asus uses the new AUO 1440p 165hz panel, and the Gigabyte uses an Innolux panel. Both are very good panels, and the hardware features on both are comparable.

The only important difference is the Gigabyte has a notably wider color space, likely since it's using 10-bit (8-bit+FRC) while the Asus is only 8-bit. Not a huge difference, but would be noticeable to a trained/conditioned eye and the wider space may come into play with HDR (although incidentally, HDR 400 doesn't really mean much at all). Also, contrast looks to be a bit better in the Giga. All things being equal, I'd probably take the Gigabyte. The only detraction I see is it has that god-awful lighting on the back (how much money was wasted on engineering that gaudy embarrassment? :p). Just me, but I wouldn't be caught dead with something like that on my desk. I suppose you could just cover the lights with electrical tape.

Yes, both of them state they come with a DP Cable, I'd be enormously surprised if they didn't.

Not correct. The FI27Q is only 8-bit. He would need the FI27Q-P for 10-bit which is much more expensive. I have heard horror stories on QC of the Asus panel.

It cam with both DP and HDMI cables but I bought aftermarket ones which were 3m and DP 1.4. I would wait for the LG personally and believe me I nearly panic bought like you are thinking of doing. Glad I waited.

To be honest i went ahead and brought the Gigabyte FI27Q.

I couldn't be waiting around for the LG, was told end of the month, then told could be longer, i just didn't see the point. The screen is good and realistically i wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them.

Thanks for your help though. Its a shame OC couldn't give an exact date of when the LG would be instock, but i assume judging by the thread on them that once they get stock they'll all be gone anyway cos it seems a lot of people have pre ordered them.

Thanks for the correction, good call. I swear, companies are intentionally making things more and more confusing with their model names.

Seems OC have started getting stock back on the LG as people who ordered a week ago got their shipment details today.

Experience of it please

Well i am by no means a Monitor specialist but,

I like it. I went from a 27" Acer to this FI27Q and the difference is brilliant.

I can't notice any bleed on mine at there is no lag or anyting when playing pubg on high settings.

Easy to setup and the stand is sturdy. The only thing is the stand is deep. The back of the stand is touching my wall and the monitor is easily 5 inches from the wall, so if you don't have a deep desk beware. I must say i'm really happy.

I have not and likely will not mess with any colour settings unless i come across a guide somewhere, but i honestly think its brilliant.
