I also tried a Golf GTD but it was just too sporty and the torque was too much for me to handle so the Cayman S will have to do.

Don't think you can go wrong with a Cayman S, certainly not for what he wants from a car. Couldn't really think where else to stick £20k.

Not really. The Cayman is a bit sportier. Sits between the Golf GTI and the GTD.
