A GTX 670 is a bit of step up from a 6850, a £220 step up!

*edit* If you take out the ATi GPU that Sparx suggested that leaves just under £200 for an nVidia Card. Any ideas? 560Ti?

you could go with the 6850 at 89.99 if he isn't a hardcore gamer that will be ok for him but if he is looking to game a 6970 will suffice

The Asus model you quoted only has 384 processing cores, were as the one I quoted has 448 processing cores. The 448 has much more raw power.
