Speck me a £400 basic gaming PC

>snip< p.s. >snip<
Hey, @lltfdaniel, that's a pretty comprehensive post and gives away a lot of personal and financial details - perhaps more than should be shared on a public forum? A lot could/can be deduced from that post and perhaps your parents tacit concerns about being taken advantage of may have some merit given the amount of personal and financial details you've given in the above post.

TBH, bud, i would delete the above - or edit it to a simple couple of lines. There's a lot of markers there that would come up in a search and as mentioned before not everyone on the net has the best of intentions.

This is just a friendly heads up nothing more...

Thanks for your heads up, i thought it would be okay with the links, i mean there was absolutely no major details being given like banking details and the like, the only thing i can think of is searching for my details as you have said.

The only thing they would know is my username, also i delete any order numbers etc, etc, etc, just to say i was comfortable to let them know about my details, before i deleted that post, it was only a amount of money a picture of my username on twitch absolutely nothing of any use really is how i thought about my post before i deleted it.

Your experience and point out is what i appreciate thanks man.

To be honest i have lived a low profile life, i mean who is out there to get me, it would have to be a personal grudge for a person to do such a thing or random hack attacks and the like so yeah

I suspect the links were fine - TBH, i didn't click on them - it was the comprehensive private and financial details within the post along with your future intentions that was my concern. That coupled with the P.S. and you would/may have left yourself open to opportunistic ***holes - there are lots out there unfortunately.

Really, no need to thank me - i'm one mans perspective and a natural cynic.

That said - it wouldn't be a personal grudge you needed to worry about, it's the unscrupulous opportunists that would have taken interested in the post and read between the lines - there was just enough info...

Don't dwell on it lltfdaniel - you haven't done anything wrong - but i feel you did the right thing deleting the post. As for the links i have no idea what they were so if in your judgement they were OK feel free to put them back. My intention wasn't to censor your entire post/links - like i said it was friendly heads up, nothing more.

Breathe easy, bud.

I think your a nice guy @Plec.

Have a good day.

Thanks, bud - i have my moments. :)

Any case the op will be building his machine on sunday or next week from now due to work.

I shall watch with interest - you enabled him to get a superior spec, so you ought to lead him through the build uninterrupted if he needs help. You'll enjoy the experience - just holler if you get stuck.

Anyways i also have a dell u2410 sitting there collecting dust, has about 20,000 hours of use on it and is 1920x1200

Bought it back on ****** for £424.75 @ 14/05/2010

https://ibb.co/h5SNxR

Looking at selling this monitor for around about £50-70 excluding postage and is in very good condition and no dead pixels.

Or can anyone point me to the members market on ocuk please?

I have to sell this monitor, otherwise my Mum will well not agree with me giving it for nothing, and i just can't walk to the post office like i did before with the gtx 970, with this monitor in my hands, has to be in the car and is bulky so i don't think the monitor will fit on the post offices weighing scales.

I think 50 quid is a fair enough price for this monitor of mine, just have to give it another clean and we are away :p.

Or i could send it for free to marco.da.man since he is after a new monitor but i wonder if he would use this dell u2410 @1200p which is what this monitor is.

I just have to lie about it being sold and walla...

I have made up my mind and considered it, that i will be giving this monitor away for nothing and am seeking for it to be used frequently all the time.

I don't think marco is after an old 1920x1200 monitor to be honest,

Going to offer this to someone in the monitor thread.

My monitor is too old, i have tried looking for someone after a ancient 1920x1200p ips 60hz monitor and couldn't find anyone.

Anyways i looked on ebay these are going for around about 100 quid.

edit, this monitor is going to marco.da.man for £50 including postage, made an agreement that 1st off i post the monitor to him so if he is happy with the monitor he send me £50 if not send the monitor back to me.

It's hard keeping track of your edits @lltfdaniel - i missed this.

You had a solid plan for selling your monitor for a reasonable price on first reading. A win win for all parties.

I would experiment with this - everyone likes a good deal, you don't have to give stuff away to release those endorphins. And members love getting a bargain - maybe more so than a mad scramble trying to get something for free.

Surely you could use ~£70 - £100 - I'm guessing at your age surplus money is still a bit of novelty (even if living with your parents)?

I have to sell this monitor, otherwise my Mum will well not agree with me giving it for nothing,

She must have her reasons for this - why not save yourself some hassle.

I enabled it thank you very much now i have access to members market.

Great - use it. Rather than giving everything away sell it on at a fair price - people/members appreciate this and respect it.

They'll haggle regardless - enjoy the experience - and as mentioned they'll appreciate the feeling of a bargain - plus you get some cash in your pocket and you'll still feel good about yourself.

A win win!

I am glad someone was interested in my monitor which is marco.da.man and first off he will receive the monitor free of charge and as long as it takes if he is happy with the monitor he send me £50(including postage) or send the monitor back to me or keep it as i am quite happy givng this monitor for free.

I do in fact need some money so when i get his address privately i will send the monitor off to him.

He will have to send me a cheque if he wants as i won't be using online banking.

He will first use it for himself then he will pass it onto another person(his lad) to use which is great as i intend it to be used again.

Yea sorry about that,

Yea £50 including postage anyways i can wait forever to receive a cheque or not, i would never chase him down as i am not like that if he feels it is worth it to send me money then he can do so if not well it's up to him, i won't be firing my guns as i am quite happy giving it for free, but do need some money though.

It is a free money holiday with me here 24/7...

The next thing i want to give away is some headphones, the takstar pro 80, does your lad or you need headphones or anyone need headphones, if i were too sell these it would be like £20 quid where i haven't used them much and costed 79 quid new from amazon uk, also beyerdyanmic t90, sony mdr z7 and oppo pm-3 (i need to get my mdr z7 and oppo pm3 from a person as i gave them to him to sell for me and hasn't yet)

My next thing would be mobile phones but i need to make sure my details are not on them and don't know but i might find a reset on the mobile phones.

The mobile phones is a moto g4 plus and a lenovo p2 so have to get that sorted if i want to give those away.

I would be happy to give away my sony mdr-z7 to make someones day and in anycase i bought them back in 2015 for £399.99 off amazon uk.

Yea giving to charity is a good idea, but i don't want too,

I give someone in africa/zambia about £200 a month or k2600 because he needs it way more than i do(i do mean way way more than i do), otherwise he will be earning under 1 pound a day and it is critical as you cannot live off that amount.
