Speed Camera Question!

and my car's fuel consumption is too variable (10mpg out of a 1.3 is dire) to bother speeding everywhere

What you driving for such a low mpg with a 1.3.........an RX-8 ??

Edit:Just seen you have an 92 civic in your sig..(There no way i can see a 1.3 civic only doing 10mpg unless it has a major fuel leak)

It's got a twin downdraught carb which only uses one normally and then both when you gun it. Emptying half a tank in 35 miles = 10mpg.

It's one of the worst engines I think Honda have ever made, it's not that quick, I can get just over 30mpg out of it but most of the time it's high 20s despite driving it carefully. Having said that the free-flowing exhaust has picked things up slightly but it's still dire.

Yeah it's normally 10% although when I had the original 13" wheels on my car it was more like 20% and that's since dropped to ~10% with 15s on.

I'm sure I heard / read somewhere though that you have an allowance when being tagged with a gun rather than the cameras etc

I think the allowance is mainly becuase of how inaccurate they can be, It was argued that a gun has to be pointed at the same position on the car neither can be moving, That is impossible when the car is moving but the gun isn't so therefore a flaw.

I surely hope i just don't get those points, Insurance god damn it is gonna be cheap when i turn 21, Don't want that ruined.
