It says they are to be legally fitted yes, but it does not state the speed from what I can see?
There is only one speed - it's set to 90kmh. You don't get to choose.
A truck with a GVW of more than 3500kg has a 90kmh limiter fitted. It's that simple.
Well yes that's cool and all, the 90kmh detail has come after clarification it's instructed as per an EU mandate - however my questions arose from the absence of that information here: https://www.gov.uk/speed-limitsThere is only one speed - it's set to 90kmh. You don't get to choose.

You're expending more electrons, and a good chunk of those are generated from fossil fuels.
Does your car have rubber tyres? If so it's still causing plenty of pollution. You then also have brake dust polution.
Don't fall for the EV equals completely green.
Nope, those that had limiters were set to 56mph as well.A pre 1992 truck will have a 60mph limiter.
It's not? I thought were talking about lowering the speed limit to increase air quality, my mistake. But that’s not what we’re discussing here. And EVs have harder low rolling resistance tyres for fuel economy and they use their brakes significantly less because of regenerative braking so your argument is still exceptionally weak.

And yet people are also talking about heavy goods limiters. You carry on thinking EVs are the bees knees after all your saving the planet. Not air quality from brake dust or tyre particles. Exhaust emissions. From ICE vehicles in the local area. Or did you not read the OP? It’s about NOx emissions.
EVs may produce less NOx, but that's countered by excess obNOxious gas from their drivers
Zing!

What argument were we having again? You can always tell when someone has lost an argument when they start posting insults.
I'd imagine that EVs running at 60, save more battery than at 70, so better for the environment too, that electricity has to be made somewhere.
What argument were we having again?
You can always tell the overly defensive one when they take offence at an obvious play on words.
