It was still impressive, but then I watched the show after (Don't Look Down)....

That was (I want to say impressive, but really its just recklessness of the highest order) immense.

I watched a few clips of that last night, actually had me properly sweating. The Russian dangling and holding onto the British guy, bloody mental that!

You'll probably find the insurance for the TV show had some very strict limits. Once the record was broken they may have stepped outside what was covered 100%.

Even from 2/3rds of the way up he only just managed to stop before the catch netting at the end of the braking area. I doubt he'd have been able to get up to more speed before having to brake earlier still.

Just managed? He was going well slow at the end.

Speed trap was dubious as well, are we sure it was at the fastest point?
