Speeding Ticket

HI every1

Just got my Speeding fine through this mornin, I knew it was comin coz i saw the flashes lol. It was last monday it happened n it was a very strange camera, little box on the floor! But anyway it sez I was doin 35 in a 30, now i have 2 send the form bak to say who was driving as the cars in my dads name, then do i get the actual punishment bak, is it likely that i could get the seminar or will it definitely be points, problem is i dont really want points i'm only 17 n been drivin since november!!!!!!

Next question can i get out of it, do these letter templates work that ive seen on the internet??

Daft, daft idea. It's his first 3 points, so it's no big deal, and Perverting the Course of Justice is a whole world more painful than 3 points.
 
hehe i new i'd get a post like that, its more than likely that i'll take the points and fine, i accept that i was just wondering if theres anyway out of it my dad wont tek the points he already has 3!!!
 
Take the points, and behave for the rest of your two years 'probation'.

It will put your insurance up quite a bit.

Meh, ask for the picture and if there's no way of telling how are they going to find out? His dad could just say that he wasn't sure who was driving therefore the points go to him don't they?

I had 3points in my first few months of driving and it wasn't fun due to risk of getting banned :( Sadly I got pulled over, if it had been a camera my parents would have taken them for me :) (And obviously bollocked me silly :p)

thats *** i was worried bout mainly, the insurance!!! how muchy do u fink it will put it up by, i pay nearly 900 already and thats on my dads insurance!!

I don't really know how much it will put it up, someone else will. But one of my mates pays £1800 as a named driver on a 1.25 Fiesta with 3 points and 1 claim (he's 19)

yer i know i wont explain the reason behind gettin caught, but i was distracted!! so any1 reckon i *** get the seminar or will it definitely be points!
 
whats "the seminar" ?

id be more worried that next time you get caught speeding you loose your license than been worried about my insurance costs to be honest. :(


insurance will be cheaper for you next year whatever happens if you get a no claims bonus

and how come your car is under your dads name ?

I think Lancashire Police are part of this aren't they?

not sure really lol i know my dads the main driver on the insurance and i'm named driver but actually i dont know why the cars in his name!!! lol n wen i say seminar i mean that you get an option to either take the points or attend a seminar that teaches you not 2 speed!! trust me i wont get caught speeding agen as i dont break he speed limit anymore lol!!

But you drive around whilst breaching the terms of your insurance contract.. ;)

How do you know this?

He could be the main driver on his dads policy?

He could only use the car occasionally?

Or he could be technically breaching the terms of his contract.

Either way does it really matter...
