Let’s be honest here, many movies, especially ones with a main hero, tread the same ground over and over again. Hero has little or no power or training, meets inspiring figure, gains power, becomes over confident, is defeated, often very easily, crisis of confidence or great personal loss, moping around for a few days or weeks, regaining of confidence, training montage, final battle against main enemy, (bonus points here if they’re old friend or family member,) hero very nearly gets defeated but somehow manages to grab victory from the jaws of defeat. Further bonus points if this is because of a friend or other family member helping out. Villain vanquished, great success, celebration or party, the end.

Oh, and end credit scene that causes confusion requiring a trip to the internet to find out the meaning.
