Spider Noir

I'm trying to select the colour version as it gives me that or B&W and yet I can't move the options over to select the one I want. Clicking play and it's straight B&W ( Amazon )

Might have to download it :rolleyes:
 
Nic cage as spiderman is either going to be incredible or absolutely tragic.

Gonna blast through it this weekend. Feels spoilt to get the whole season now when everyone seems to have swapped to weekly releases again.

That is the thing, its not spiderman really though. Its "the spider" and Cage plays a private investigator who was the spider in his younger years but retired himself from it but gets kinda dragged back into it. Very similar but its a different spin on it.

Its not quite as childish and corny as Tobey Maguire in the classic suit, Cage would literally have zero hope of playing that sort of spiderman role.

Finished it last night and I thought it was pretty good personally. Story was great, acting was good (Cage was quite reserved but a couple of moments in the later episodes allowed his zanier side out), it look glorious in b&w. I really like their spin on how he got his powers (and the other characters).

Not sure if my impression of it was elevated due to watching it coming off the abomination of s5 of the boys, but I really hope they do a second series.
 
I watched the first two / three (?) episodes last night and quite enjoyed it. Cage looked rather haggard but is he is getting on a bit. He does give some fun Cage moments… the best of which was when he dodged a blow by pulling a cheeky face :p

Supporting characters were fun.

The ‘coming up this season!!!’ trailer at the end of ep.1 makes me think ‘meh… TV show’. Still, I think it will be fair lazy-weekday viewing.

I had a similar issue with the fire stick (fire homepage) when trying to watch, had to actually go into the amazon app itself

These 'coming up this season' thing drive me nuts. I always skip them - why would I want spoilers of the show I'm currently watching!?

Currently 2 episodes down and enjoying it. My other half is bit if a tv/film nerd and thinks it's quite faithfully 'noir' too, whatever that means.
 
Watched half of the 1st episode but just couldn’t get into it. The dodgy CGI / special effects were irritating.
 
Finished it earlier, enjoyed it. watched in colour (my tvs a bit naff for b&w). yes there is web slinging.
