Aghhh here they all come. Even just getting in the front door was bad enough tonight with them hanging out everywhere. How do they know?

Can't wait till this is over. I always have to be on my guard more in Sept.

Is this an actual thing? Ive had loads of them the past week, huge ones which means my girlfriend freaks out and wont calm down until they are dead. Didnt realise it was a "season".

One went under my sofa earlier.........i ended up turning the sofa upside down and pulling all the velco bits off etc to get to it, not that i could find the blighter. I hate spiders with a passion.....though not as much as wasps.

Not seen one indoors all year :P

Currently some woodlice wandering around on the bathroom floor though.

The outside of my windows are covered in webs, one in each corner with a spider sitting in the corner.

Also noticed street railings were covered in them as well the other day.

...and then a fly lands on my leg and I swear, I just jumped out my skin. Spiders, they just get to me, always have, always will. Snakes, sharks meh, spiders...MUMMMMEEEEEE

Why did this make me move my feet off the floor?

I just did the exact same thing. My carpet is a dark blue and it's hard to spot black spiders on it, although I did spot a huge one running across it once. Luckily I had a cup nearby to put it under (yes, the cup was cleaned afterwards).

What you guys need are cats. Big hungry spider eating mother ****ers. Then you only have to worry about the sneaky ones that hide under or behind your bed that the cats can't get.

Cup?! A large boot, box or book normally lands flat on top of them if they come anywhere near my property :p I don't like to risk the idea of them coming back in.

How about this then, a few days ago I was searching for a spider my girlfriend claims had ran into our closet/wardrobe. Searched for about 5 minutes to no avail, returned to the living room and was about to sit down when i felt a "tickle" on my arm. HUGE thing too. The sneaky ******* had hitched a ride on me while I was looking for him

Spiders are nature's friends.
Got a mosquito problem? Mr spider will take care of it.
Same as blue bottles, midges or anything flying that'll wind you up.

The above is only relevant in England. The mega nasty, poisonous spiders of Australia are not your friend and cannot be relied upon.

I have all of those within 2m of me, but a cup is always an arm stretch away so it's the first thing I grab. Not knowing where the spider's gone after you've wasted time looking for something to kill it with, is always a bad thing, so it's best to trap/kill it ASAP.

Spiders are legendary. They keep away other useless, irritating insects, and can hold onto your wall guarding your room like a badass. If they won't stay put I cup my hands around them and throw them outside. If they're REALLY big I pinch the body and get rid of 'em that way.
