Spider September, why why why

I've strangely never been that bothered about spiders. If I see one in my room and its in a far corner, I just generally leave it. I never kill them, always use the spider catcher thing and release them into the garden.

Wasps entering my house? Now that's a scene from mortal combat right there.

I despise them yet can't bring myself to pancake it. I always catch them with a cup and piece of paper and throw them out the window, same as any other harmless insect.

Sod that, I'm dead posh, I will have my house rebuilt out of the flipping things if it stops the spiders coming to get me.

You think there are no spiders in any Horse Chestnut trees?!

There may very well be a chemical in conkers that deters them, i dont know, but I doubt that it is any where near concentrated enough in a conker to do any good. One of the secretaries at work has laid conkers all around the edge of her office and I mean completely, all the way round the edge :p

I have a dedicated pint glass and postcard in my bedroom and another in the kitchen... you can't see them under a cup and I don't really want to hurt them even if I want them out.

My sister woke up the other day to find a 2m long carpet python in her bathroom. I had a "pet" hunstman who was the size of a dinner plate and protected me in my sleep when I was little from the monsters. I had to check my push bike every day before I left to make sure the red backs weren't hiding in the seat again... average day in AU..

The only time they scare me is when the big huntsmans are in the engine bay of your car and while you're driving come out through the external air vents and are flung onto the windscreen because you're usually going 100km/hr+. Makes me scream like a girl :P

Since coming to the UK all I've seen in a little spider ~1cm long, it's making babies so I let it be. It seems to like cheese left on the kitchen counter :P

just pick the harrys up and move them along, leave the normal sized ones in my living room alone, keeps them bloody flies away.

Don't mind most spiders. In fact I can quite happily hold tarantulas. Its just those big fast moving buggers I hate. You always see them scurrying around in the corner of your eye whist you are sat relaxing. Got a bloody huge one 2 nights ago. Their biguns this year.

Spiders are lovely. And because I know you all love spiders here are some spiders.

September is a call to arms, ill be playing counter strike having held point B hearing the bomb has been planted, franticly run to point A ready to make my assault to hear 'AHHHHHHHH get the trainer..... NOW!'

needless to say when i come back the round has started over and i have an extra death :(

I don't mind the corner spiders, they stay in the corners

My worst spider encounter

I was in bed about to go to sleep for the night when I felt what u thought was something undermmy top, so I brushed it under the cover thinking it was a tickle. Closed my eyes.
I felt it again. Lifted my top and was enough light to see a spider shadow. Bolted out of the bed and shook my top, like you do when you are hot. So got back into bed.

Then I feel I again.. This time I don't even remember getting up, I tore my top getting it off. Threw it on the floor and jumped it. I saw the little ***** run for cover. I cupped it.

Was only after I delt with the situation and the adrenaline went I had a spider on my skin

i never under stood people scared of spiders. big **** off tranchulas maybe but a spider .... just no

same goes for bee's and wasps i just lol at people crying because of them. then they flap their arms basically asking to get stung

This guy was walking across our floor a few weeks back, he was huge, girlfriend was freaking out so I put him outside.

Is it just me or did you never used to see spiders that big as a kid? You know how sweets etc always seem to have become smaller compared to when you were a kid, well spiders haven't... Those *******s have got bigger!

I don't care how "hard" someone is. You get something like the one above running/jumping at you, it WILL put you on edge just a little bit :D

I really dislike people killing spiders.

Yes, they're not that attractive but in reality they cannot harm you and a pint glass and a piece of cardboard is all that's needed to put one of these amazing creatures outside kindly.

I have noticed a huge increase in spiders in my garden every time I go out there's new webs all over the place. Even find them on my bike which I use every single day.

Is this an actual thing? Ive had loads of them the past week, huge ones which means my girlfriend freaks out and wont calm down until they are dead. Didnt realise it was a "season".

Definitely could not cope with a girl like that, i'd get rid aha.

People need to man the **** up, WHY are people scared of spiders?

Go on! Admit it! That glass is only 1 inch across isn't it :)

It's a shot glass :D:p:D
