Although you may want to watch it a couple of times to pick up on more of the details(and if you like Spirited Away look for Princess Mononoke, Laputa, Whisper of the Heart and Porco Russo)

I think it's a good film, but only in the same way Disney films are. Some people seem to be so obsessed with this, even though they'd never dream of admitting to liking a Disney film for any reason other than nostalgia. But I guess it's automatically a different genre because it's made in JapanNitefly said:I thought it was pretty average actually. Everyone seems to be saying its 'amazing' etc. I'm not saying it wasn't good. Its just nowhere NEAR as great as everyone makes out.
Had it been an american film, no one would have hyped it so high.

I'm actually into anime myself before any thinks I'm bashing it. It's just I find it strange that some people seem to like any sort of film from thriller to rom-com just because it's an animation from Japan.
