just tried the latest drivers and a clean reinstall of the game and still getting the same probs.,.. weird?

I wouldnt say weird having read the number of people having random crashes and just about every other problem you could think of over in the ubisoft forum. I'd say its just the game and nothing to do with your hardware.

We are not here to clearn up your mess though, and not editing it was clearly just laziness. All we ask is you fully star out any swearing, not too hard really.

I never considered it a mess in the 1st place, and it wasn't laziness either. As i said an error of judgement on my behalf. Had i read the rules i wouldn't haven't posted like that in the 1st place, but cos i didn't i felt there was nothing wrong with my post. Now lets move on, you've made your point, thanks!

Is anyone using a DX10 card yet with this game? Any difference?

All a DX10 card would do on this game would make it run a few frames per second more or overall smoother I'd have thought.

Yeah, i've read that the DX10 cards will allegedly run DX9 games a lot better than DX9 cards. Just wondered if in this particular instance it helped with the seemingly inumerous game glitches.

I was highly sceptical about all those who said that the game ran sluggish, got my copy today ( was to late to cancel my pre order) Just tried the 1st training misson, was getting a fps of 30 until i got to the pipe then it dropped right down to 20, everything is maxed out, looks like im going to have to lower the settings a bit

The game has been running ok for me until I got to the second part of the Kinshasa mission. Now it takes ages to load save and quite often crashes when loading. And with the mission being during the day with little cover you need to load a few times.

The game seems to run fine for me, I'm halfway through the mine-processing mission. I just turned HDR off and everything runs smooth as hell. I don't actually play games constantly watching the FPS (I never actually know what the Framerate is) but It's usually pretty noticeable if it's rubbish.

Specs: 3800+ X2, 2GB PC3200, X1800XT 512MB, X-fi Fatality

My only problem with the game is the fact that anytime i want to change graphics settings I have to change them, then appy them, then quit the game and edit a .ini file to get the resolution back to 1680x1050 - why on earth they didn't put a pretty bog-standard resolution which is native for loads of monitors on the res menu, I'll never know.

I emailed tech support to ask how to get it to run at 1680x1050 and all I got was an automated-looking response saying to send them a dxdiag file, which I already had. Ubi tech-support seems rubbish.
