Splinter Cell

I am more of a Hitman fan.

Never really got stuck into a SC game, I've played chaos theory and conviction briefly and preferred chaos theory.

I just started Conviction. Loved the first three and Double Agent wasn't too bad.

One of the things I liked about the first ones was ghosting the levels and not killing anyone, just knocking the odd bloke out and hiding the body.

In conviction I don't seem to be able to take anyone out without killing them and then cannot move the body, am I doing it wrong? Did I dream that you could do this?

Anyway once I gave up trying to play the game how I wanted I am enjoying it more. But it is not a real sneaker like the first few and the Theif games, this one is more like Deus Ex, as in a shooter game where you can sneak a bit.

I also hate the lack of manual saves.

First one was good, I never finished the second one. After that they seemed to improve the interface, like having quick peak under the door option without going into the menu. They also started to take the mick a bit. In Double Agent you find a message about a ninja, seeking about Displace.

Chaos theory is the best though for that:

Sam: Let me guess, three alarms and we abourt.
Labert: Of course not; this isn't a video game Fisher.

and my personal favourite

Grim: Hummm, Maria Narsisus
Sam: You'r not setting me up on another blind date are you Grim.
Grim: No Fisher, Maria Narsisus is a boat.
Sam: So was the last girl you set me up with.

I am yet to play Conviction, will get it soon though.
