Split Air con

Id hate to be your neighbour if all 3 units are going at full chatter

Ours are very quiet, even on full whack, which is rare.

Pros and cons to a single unit. It takes away flexibility of heating/cooling in different rooms, but that’s rare anyway. You’ve also lost your whole system if it goes down, which again is rare.

We have 3 on one 7.5kw external unit (our original install) and then the remaining 2 on their own dedicated outdoor units. Do whichever is cheapest/allowed. We’re lucky we have a lot of options of where to put the units, although annoyingly not on the ground. I’d opt for the ground everytime where possible.

Just had this from our installer. I’m hopeful our unit arrives this week, it was ordered 4 weeks ago.

Good Afternoon,

I understand that many of you are feeling frustrated regarding the delay to your air conditioning unit order, and I would like to assure you that we are doing everything we can to keep you updated.

We are checking our ordering system hourly for incoming stock. Your order is already on our system, and as soon as stock arrives, you will receive the first available allocation.

Our supplier has advised that they are currently waiting for containers to be delivered on a daily basis. Units are arriving, but unfortunately they are unable to provide us with a guaranteed delivery date at this time but I am chasing them throughout the day.

Please be assured that as soon as we receive a confirmed delivery date or any further information, you will be the first to know.

We have also explored alternative options with other manufacturers. However, this is an industry-wide issue, with brands such as Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric also experiencing significant delays and currently advising delivery dates into August.

Unfortunately, changing to another brand at this stage is unlikely to result in a quicker installation.

This situation is just as frustrating for us as it is for you. We currently have six engineers ready to install systems but, unfortunately, we do not have the units available to fit. We are doing everything possible behind the scenes to secure stock and get your installation completed as soon as possible.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this unprecedented stock shortage.
