Am I right in thinking that during the winter you can use the AC system as a dehumidifier? That would be a huge bonus as we currently use one in the cold months.
Looking at getting 2 rooms done in my home with a single outdoor unit. Had one quote for Mitsubishi kit for £2.8k. Wasn’t fond of the bloke that quoted so probably won’t go ahead with it.
I have some questions if you guys could help?
Do I need to get planning permission for this?
Can anyone recommend a supplier/fitter in the North Hampshire area?
Are there any must haves on a modern system? I want to be able to control them from my phone both in and out of the house. I’ve been told I need to get ones with variable inverters, but I think they all do now. Any other must have features? Thanks.

Yeah the guy mentioned this, but said it's only a difference of £100-£150.The single condenser will put the price up however it’s neater with just the one
£1k fitted for what ?Should be around 1k fitted for each unit. Perhaps a little more down south.
Loving ours.

Looking at the forecast for Sunday-Tuesday, I just want say to everyone with air-con at home: damn you all
We're definitely going to look at a permanent install but priority right now is saving for a wedding and honeymoon so it'll have to wait a couple of years. I've cadged a dehumidifier as a small attempt to make things a little more comfortable this weekend but I'm not sure it's going to do much with a south-facing bedroom might have to look at draping some towels over the outside of the bedroom windows to try and stop all sunlight getting in!
So if I got a load of cardboard, coated one side in foil and taped to the windows (foil outwards), it should reflect a lot of the light and heat?Foil is your friend

the price will vary depending on which brand you have installed.
