Almost certainly a dedicated circuit.Does the outside unit(for a 5Kw) require to have electricity from a separate electrical circuit(to hae a separate breaker) or can an exsiting plug socket can be used to feed the electricity?

We have Daikin units and the app is fine... but I haven't used the Mitsubishi equivalent to be able to compare
I agree the Mitsi app is shockingly bad and oldMitsi app is a bit rubbish but the units are supposed to be the best on the market according to the multiple installers I got quotes from.

Not really. A 5kw unit will consume less than 2kw full chat in heating mode. First model google returned was 1660w, so ~7A. Very comfortable on a standard 3pin.
When was the last time it was cleaned/serviced?Had mine ticking over last night and the one in my sons room as well stayed nice cool. I will say I has to switch mine off as it wasn’t getting that cool which was a concern but I opened the indoor unit up and hoovered all the filters and that made a massive difference I was pretty embarrassed to see all the dust in there to be honest!
It’s due for a service I cleaned the filters and and cleaned the out side unit and got rid of any crap on the main condenser and that seems to have a massive differenceWhen was the last time it was cleaned/serviced?
Definitely do it. It's superior to the portable units in every way: easier, quieter, more efficient. We've had ours in a year now and I don't know how we coped without it, especially as it seems to be hotter more often in recent years. This weekend/week, and seeing how compromised the portable AC units are, has just fortified the need for us to get at least two units on a split system in our house. No good cooling one room when the rest of the rooms are so hot they just heat up the cooled room again! Not to mention how noisy the portable units are - we have no hope of sleeping with it on, and when I run it in our computer room, headphones are required to hear anything!

It's also probably going to be 10x the cost of a single portable unit for the install so I'll need a little time to get that money togetherDefinitely do it. Agreed,
Ours went on the first time last night as the heat was just oppressive, set it to 18 on eco cool an hour before bed, walked into a lovely cool bedroom and slept the night in absolute comfort.
I've not looked into but I believe F gas is very expensive, I stopped doing 134a systems when f gas came in as the company I work for said it was silly money.I've caved in and just ordered a Meaco 12k portable, sadly splits will have to wait till next year. I will have to have a better think about F gas training, surely it must pay for itself with annual servicing on multiple units and installation?
