I thought I'd make a thread for this game, is it coming out in this country for the pc?

I have a italian friend who's on xfire playing it right now, it'd be a shame if it never saw the light of day over here because it looks like a lot of fun. Although "Blur" could be the better game, which IS definetely coming out here.

Ive been on the big river site and the jersey website and theres nothing in the pre order sections, so im thinking that theyre giving us brits the cold shoulder?

If anyone knows whats up, please post, this game looks like a lot of fun

ah guys I just found it on direct 2 drive for the princely sum of £40 , I'll never pay that much for a game, so Ill probably just wait for this Blur game which will be cheaper, then I'll wait for split second to come down in price.

Yeah I would love to get this for PC, although its like burnout.

the console one looks like it could do with some AA :p

And judging by other posts, the PC one could do with a decent framerate. Locked to 30fps apparently :(

Indeed it is, but it still runs very well, especially on the High setting. Very High seems to be really badly optimised as even those with high end systems get bad framerate problems in somewhere around the low 20's by the looks of it. Online play seems to also gave a few problems with it not working at all, Friends can see or add each other, but cannot seem to join.

Lets not have a 'what fps do you need for it to be smooth' battle here.

On the subject of ordering this game on PC in the UK, I found it nigh on impossible, only finding Direct 2 Drive for £40 and £38 on GAME downloads (on offer, usually £40). But gave up in the end and now have it on 360 :)

Yes, you can get it for PC. Not sure how good it is but looking at the screenshots in the other thread it looks good. Youtube gameplay playback videos dont make it look so great though

Wierd that you can't get this game in a box though surely, especially when it was developed over in Brighton (dam american publishing :p)

And publishers wonder why games get pirated.

I downloaded the demo, and had a ton of problems (360 controller not really supported, stuck in rear-view mode).

I'll be picking up Blur instead, at least until Split/Second comes down in price (I agree with Eames).

I just tried the demo for this, based on which I wouldn't pay £5 for it.

And anyone who thinks 30fps is smooth enough should play this, and then play Burnout Paradise.

I played Burnout chase cam with a wheel.

But this game seems to have awful controller/wheel support, which is pretty strange really. Also locked at 30fps kind of sucks, especially when there's a vsync option that does nothing :(
