Splitting Up with Misses

Job done.

Were going to talk again later, shes quite calm but teary.

I didn't ask about my stuff as it probably wasn't the best time. She did say she'd sort out my DVD's though, which is nice.

So my first night of freedom in a year approaches.

Rather Sobering really.

UPDATE LATER:

Ex has been to see my parents, my phone has been reported stolen to the police, she's coming to London tonight after finding my hotel somehow.

I should get a post or 2 in after work - but its all gone Pete Tong

I think we can look forward to a new AthlonTom scandal once a year - last year it was massive hickeys (was this the girl who gave you them or the one you were hiding them from, btw?), this year a very messy breakup (good luck tonight mate), bring on next year!

EDIT: Love Bite Thread: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17612819

This is the one I was hiding them from. Don't forget the "Bitten by some chick" thread as well:

So she reported your phone stolen to try and get the police after you? Is she stupid?

Mobile provider rang me and told me my handset has been reported lost or stolen, I have to ring them back later with some details (My ex had all my contract paperwork) to prove I'm me.

Because he tried to take the easy way out and ignore the large amount of posts here saying he ought to do it face-to-face. Now he's reaping the rewards of stupidly telling her he needed to talk to her in a text. Good one...

Well yeah - I suppose I could have left London about 6:30 last night, driven for 3-4 hours, split up with her - and not console her in anyway, then just drive straight back!

Customer would be well chuffed with a paid resource that just sits there and falls asleep all day.

I AM ALIVE!!!!

The job abroad got cancelled last minute.

She didn't come to the hotel, but the next morning I woke up to a big dent in the off-side front wing of the beemer. I'm convinced that this is a coincidence though.

So I drove down to some place on the beach in kent at the weekend for the Electric Gardens festival. I didnt really want to go home after all the build up of going away so it seemed like a good choice (read hiding) - was an excellent place to unwind and luckilly I had most of my camping gear in the car (I almost live out that damn thing). Picked up a girl I went to uni with on the way, took lots of pictures, drank lots of beer/pimms (beer ran out), listened to some good music (OxEagleLionMan/the rakes/Noisettes/the young knives/happy mondays/Jack Pinblablabla to name but a few).

All in all was wicked - reminded me of how awesome it is to be a single socialite hippy, and the girl I went with was exceptionally foxy - has her own money, likes the music I like - also happens to be a photographer for FHM ;)

Got back this morning about 4AM, got up late and cleaned the car - and thats about it ("worked" from home today).

So I think I manged about 36 hours of being single, this one seems pretty sound though :) (I went out with her for about 6 months when she was in her first year of uni about 18 months ago - so not a ridiculess age gap either.

Life is good once more.

(Got home to find my Vinyl and my cameras + my Xbox360 which I'd forgotton about!)

Life is great with photos and a Vinyl accompanyment. :D

Cheers

......hoooold up. You have a new girlfriend already? :/

Also, care to explain what all the stolen phone thing was about?

Rang em back - they didnt have a clue what I was on about and the last enquiry I had from my account was a closed ticket (had my phone nicked on the 6th of July in Camden but recently got it replaced)

Stumped really but have not spoken to my ex yet.

EDIT: Yeah - she asked me out on Saturday night, I hadnt mentioned I'd just split up but she won't care anyway

Hah, if my experience is anything to go by, it's not over yet. Though I guess if you're lucky it will be.

I thnk I'll be ok, as long as I can avoid her in the short term she'll wind down a bit :)

To achieve this - I'm leaving for Amsterdam on Friday night with new chick and won't be back for about 10 days or so :) - following that I'm back on Canary Wharf for a few months and so shall be living in a hotel - many hours from ex's location :)

Couldn't be going better so far to be fair :)

How fortunate that both you and the new Chick were able to arrange a long, very short notice holiday :)

Were driving and camping - no planning needed

EDIT: and as my job got cancelled I've got free time, and as mentioned before, shes at uni and free lancing - and as Uni's are out for summer - shes free at short notice.
