***SPOILERS AHOY!!***Football 26th-29th Dec 2010

Mocking people's predictions is fail in itself.

A prediction is exactly that, a prediction.
Listen here chap, I only saw that there was a village called that during the week, and I have been dieing to use it since then! :D Luckily, this thread has allowed me to get it out of my system.

Just finished watching the game, was on a delay after watching (the mighty and amazing) Quins and all I have to say is...

THHEEEOOOOOO WALLLLNUTTTTTTT.

What a man. I enjoy my times as an honorary Arsenal fan K1ll ;)

They wont sack Carlo, Chelsea have given away so much money sacking people, they may have learnt there lesson, sack him he get a 6 or 9 million pay off, doesnt look good on there books does it.

How on earth did Chelsea let Arsenal score 3?

Are Chelsea the team that will drop out of the top 4?

I'd be very surprised, even though Spurs are on high form I still think it's less likely that they'll be able to keep it going for the whole season and more likely that Chelsea will recover, especially with Lampard/Essien back.

Spurs squad depth trounces Chelsea's IMO. What happens when they get another injury to their spine?

Chelsk need major recruiting. With a lot more motivation. In a bit of a hole right now.

Congrats to Arsenal but I doubt they'll make the most of it.

Can't see Chelsea dropping out of the top4, they've got a lot of tough fixtures out of the way and are starting to get players fit again, plus they have the financial muscle to bolster the squad in January if desired. Realistically looking at the table you'd have to say that of the chasing pack only Spurs have the players to compete with them, yet their failures mean that not only are they behind Chelsea on points, they also have a vastly inferior goal difference.

That may sound a little harsh on Spurs but the reality is if you want to be a top 4 side then after 18 games you'd be targetting something above 30pts and +4 GD.
(finding midseason tables is a bit tricky but as a guide 2 years ago the team in 4th spot at Christmas had 32pts and +17 from only 16 games).

Nobody's mentioned it so far I don't think but anybody reckon United will go the entire season unbeaten?

I know it's early days yet, however they've played everybody around them and not lost: City are weaker away from home; we won't beat them; Chelsea wouldn't (atm?); Spurs can't do them and Liverpool aren't worth considering.

Don't forget that when we did it in 03/04, we too drew a lot of games. If UTD win tomorrow they'll be approaching drawing a very rough 1/3 of their matches which is the same ratio as us years ago.

I think we'll inevitably throw a silly game away, haven't got to the hard champions league game stage yet either so we've not necessarily been resting a lot of players. That, and Johnny Evans is a guaranteed 2 losses a season if he plays :p

Can't see it happening. I think at the moment defence is united's weak point, one silly late goal and it's over. Birmingham could end it tomorrow, they have a stellar home record, even against the big 4!
