** spoilers ** English League Football [27th - 28th November 2010]

Well we should be 2-0 but maxi over playing it, Great block by Carra, We have played well and controlled it thus far, 2nd half will be intresting to say the least!
 
What a ball from Torres to find Maxi. We were just discussing though; how utterly anonymous is Maxi? I've not watched 'pool in a while, does he usually do anything other than screw up an easy chance a half?
 
Well that's an unexpected but pleasing half time score.

Both teams are having plenty of chances but we're winning the midfield battle and not letting Spurs settle. Having said that, Spurs would have a far better chance if they just subbed Palacios and didn't bother replacing him.

If it wasn't for the fact that we have already used 2 subs he would be off, missing Huddlestone big time here. Dont really have another DM at the moment.
 
While Liverpool haven't been spectacular over the last few weeks, they're definitely starting to look like a team again after a period of looking disjointed. The small things like small combination plays and movement off the ball are starting to work and they are becoming quite difficult to beat again. Looks like Hodgson is finally making his mark on the group, you get the feeling they'll be in the top 6 if they keep improving
 
Bale has been immense for the Spurs along with Modric...but geezus Maxi really fluffed up the chance for Liverpool to go 2-0...the **** should have just taken the shot :/
 
Yet another come back by Spurs? I don't think so today. Liverpool are incredibly defensive and long ball-esq. Plus it's cold, poor things. Really I feel sorry for them.
 
Surprisingly decent first half performance. For once we've tried to pass the ball away from home and we've looked like causing Spurs problems at the back.

The ref's been a bit of a **** with a couple of the yellows or lack of a yellow for Hutton.

Oh and Maxi :o He done the same thing vs Chelsea earlier in the season.

I was saying that, he looks much slower than he should be. Might be because he can't be bothered though and, in fairness, if Maxi was missing that sorta chance after I'd laid it on I would be pretty miffed.
