I'm totally in two minds. I agree with you in that we shouldn't risk our first choice players but I think that even just putting one of them out yesterday would have made the game that much easier.

Then again, we won without them so I guess i'm just talking dross. :p :o

We've got to give that Lindegaard a run out at some point though and tbf to him he seemed pretty solid.

That's down to not being in the Carling Cup though and the timing of the signing, I don't think we would have seen Lindegaard yesterday if we could have given him games in the CC.

He did well, apart from being done at his near post for the goal, but it didnt seem to destroy him for the rest of the game like it would have done to a foster or PIG.

I think the commentators were doing their best to make it sound like he was nervous, but he didnt seem at all fazed.
At one point they said something like "had to make a desperate scrambling save" to a standard collection of a weak shot that he could have thrown a tissue over to save.

You just realised that??:eek:....the guy has been absolute rubbish since he started playing for us...what does he offer Arsenal??....nothing so why doesnt Wenger cut his damn losses and get rid of the idiot either on loan or sell him for a few pence:p

Yep, but we dicked that one up so needs must, I'd rather have played him for the first time yesterday than in a league game. First impressions of him were generally pretty favourable but due to his lack of experience I guess he'll be used as 3rd choice until the end of the season. If VDS (and probably PIG as he's not getting the #1 spot) buggers off we're going to need at least one of our goalkeepers to have at least played a few competitive games for us.

The biggest mistake was even bothering to give Gibson another run out, even his bloody shooting has got crap.
