***SPOILERS***(Real) Football 01-05 Apr 2010/2011

General question:

If we have more than one ball in football games, i.e. there's one on the pitch and the ball boys usually have a few extra circulating around, why do referees still make a point to collect just the one on the pitch at ht/ft?

I thought Premier League games now only use one match ball after the controversy of single vs multi ball systems being employed by teams to their advantage.

Al Fayed defends Jackson statue
(UKPA) – 15 minutes ago
Fulham chairman Mohammed Al Fayed has told fans they can "go to hell" if they do not appreciate the new Michael Jackson statue at Craven Cottage.

Al Fayed, a close friend of the late performer, has caused controversy after announcing he had decided to place the tribute to Jackson outside the Cottagers' stadium. The statue was commissioned following Jackson's death in June 2009 and was due to be erected at Harrods before Al Fayed sold the Knightsbridge store.

"Why is it bizarre?," Al Fayed said after the unveiling. "Football fans love it. If some stupid fans don't understand and appreciate such a gift they can go to hell."

He added: "I don't want them to be fans. If they don't understand and don't believe in things I believe in they can go to Chelsea, they can go to anywhere else.

"People will queue to come and visit it from all over the UK and it is something that I and everybody else should be proud of."

Kit Symons played during Jackson's appearance against Wigan in 1999 and is now Under-18s manager at the Cottagers.

"It is great," he said. "The big thing is it is obviously something that the chairman feels very, very passionately about and he has decided to erect this statue and fair dos to him."

Speaking on the time of Jackson's visit, he added: "It was just happy times. They were great times back then.

"The chairman obviously used to bring high profile people down to the games.

"Tony Curtis was here a few weeks after and it was just fantastic times."

Fullhams owner in being an idiot shock.

What a shocking attitude to have. He wouldnt even have a club if the fans went away. The statue is shocking and has nothing to do with football

Best game of the weekend so far.

Napoli 4-3 Lazio.

Amazing game, end to end, really good skills, very little simulation (). Lazio 0-2 up. Then 2-2 in a few minutes, followed by an og for 2-3, a penalty and a red for 3-3 and now 4-3.

Blackpool looking woeful to be honest.

edit---->

And Zamora has just scored! Very good finish!

1-0

And now a 2nd for Zamora! Blackpool look terrible, they have been on the back foot from the start!

Just seen Vidic, wtf that was a rugby tackle.
Assuming you're talking about his yellow card, neither player was doing anything more to the other that wasn't being done to him, and when the striker actually went over he did so under his own power and Vidic had no hands on him whatsoever.

You get the goal and blackpool crumble. Sadly when their not retaining the ball, off the ball positioning blows them down like paper dolls.

Fulham are allways tidy at home when the set regulars are playing, unless blackpool stung them early, fulhams set/formation would allways pay dividends.

Well worth the win, can't see fulham going down.
