Spooks - The Final Series

I did love it, although aside the lack of CPR the main plot hole that sprung to my mind was the reason why the Americans didn't want Harry any more? He's still responsible for the death of Jim, and i don't think they'd be overly happy about the whole hijack the convoy thing either :p

Very bizarre stuff towards the end as mentioned in terms of no CPR, no checking for pulse, not securing Sascha after shooting him the leg, the guy is holding a shank and has just stabbed someone ffs and they are there with their backs to him!

Good point above about the yanks too, it almost seemed like a waste of time them even taking him into custody in the first place, I was waiting for them to suddenly come charging in but they never did. Then at the end Harry is back at MI5 surely he would have been pensioned off, they can't seriously expect to maintain any sort of relations with the Americans if he is restored to active service, heck the top brass never even authorised his extraction!

Not looking to pick holes as I enjoyed the series but I was just surprised at how unpolished the final episode ever was considering they normally have resonable production values.

Just watched it now, good strong episode to go out on.

Few tiny plot holes with ref to the stewardess and the CPR thing but other than that it was enjoyable.

Very subtle how they pointed to the russian chick much earlier but never went back to it.

A solid end to the series. Glad they didn't take the "happily ever after" option for Ruth and harry - that was never the way that the show worked.

I particularly liked the "blood on Harry's hands" visual metaphor. The way he wanted to touch her face, but couldn't because of his bloody right hand. Very poetic.

I stopped watching this after a while (the program, not the series) because it felt a bit too repetitive.

Caught an episode, of what I assume to be this final series, last week or so and it was still pretty much the same deal? I suppose a spy program can only really have so much content.

Certainly one of the better programs on TV though, 10 series is a good innings. :)

What an absolutely fantastic show. It's definitely entertained me for many years and loved watching it!

I am gutted it's finished, but at the same time - I'm glad they didn't drag it out. I know 10 years is a long time - but it wasn't a show on every week of the year.

RIP Spooks, you will be missed.

ps. Anyone know anything good to fill this hole now?!

Ha, just watched the end, Was pretty good.

******SPOILER******

Shout of the century, without seeing anything previously, i said before hand that i bet Tom Quinn would be in it!

******SPOILER******

Anyway, great series will be missed. Though i never liked the way they killed too many regulars off.

Strangely thats one of the things I like (liked :() about it. With lots of other shows you know that, no matter how dangerous the situation looks, the main character/s will always survive, which for me took away all the suspense. With spooks you were never sure what would happen to them, which made it all the more edge-of-your-seat'ey (if that makes sense).
