**SPORE**

Ok this the new take on the starforce argument? Evil DRM so im going to rob it cause im a freetard but im justified cause DRM is evil?

People used the same argument when XP came out activation is evil...

Deal with it and if you dont like it enjoy your fine when Daveport Lyons or some other bottom feeding law firm drag you to court.

Bahahahaha

Besides he said he wouldn't b buying not that he'd be downloading it.

Ironically if i do end up Buying it I'll still be cracking it for ease of use :/

Also have some extra lol for freetard >.<

I'm looking forward to it, not too bothered about the antipiracy thingybob. As for the 3 installs, its not bothering me too much. I used to install xp about twice a year but with vista I have only done it once about 2 months ago since installing vista on the day of release. Even if I stall once eavery 6 month I very much doubt I will be playing spro

What about if you play it for a few weeks, finish it and uninstall it. Go back 6 months and try again. Or you lend it to someone else and they install it.

Then after a few years nostalgia kicks in and you want to play again only you have to contact EA to allow you to install it a fourth time only for EA to have dropped support and now you can't play!

Whats so funny? DL have won cases now, precident has been set in court and do you honestly think they will slow down now they have legal backing?

If a "nice" game company like Codemaster will use them why not EA the internet appointed "evil empire" of gaming?

Anyway back OT Spore does look quite fun but I dont really have time for god games so i might pick it up once it drops in price a little. Always found Simcity a good hotel room game when I was away with work and this will be similar.

I'll never buy anything that thinks it can limit the amount of times I install it.

Absolutely ridiculous, I'll end up cracking it just to get around the install limit eventually.

What a load of utter tosh, if I reinstall my OS I don't have to through the hassle of making sure certain games have been revoked so my install limit goes back up. (Not even sure if Spore uses a system like this)

People on these forums have had letters from then and just ignored them, sposed to be scam artists or something?

They where but a women has been successfully taken to court and sued for £11k. Now they have the courts backing they will now start taking action. But this all depends on what evidence they have for most people and if it's the same as what they had for her.

I wouldn’t mind DRM so much if it meant I didn’t have to put the sodding DVD in the drive every time I wanted to play, but I guess I still will. Not that DRM will effect whether or not I purchase it.

Was that the Pinball game thing? :D

No they are bottom feeding scum, the equivilant of ambulance chasers but they are the real deal.

Check on BBC news they won some test cases in court a few weeks back and landed some people (who ingored the court orders) with some fairly robust fines.

If you went to court and fought your corner would you win? I doubt it and the fines wouldnt get any smaller either.

I'm not saying protection isnt a PITA we all know it is but it has been back since lenslok and p3,l3,w4 type protection. Im not going to cut my nose off to spite my face and not buy somethign I want just because the writter wants to protect his bottom line.

Pretty sure I read over at the Spore forums that it will not require the disc in the drive and to be honest, I'd rather need the disc in the drive and get rid of this limited install rubbish, the only people it affects are legitimate users.

What annoys me about EA and spore - they want £39.99 to pre load, even with the £5 discount for buying the creature creature, thats still £35 when you can order the retail box for £24.99.

Ive had two games recently not work without no cd cracks that had starforce stuff on them, if this is the same, i wont even be able to play it which leaves me in somewhat of a dilemma.

I really dont see why DRM is needed for this, its got online elements, you want the best out of it you are going to buy it anyway.

Wait, wait... wait. They want MORE money when they aren't paying for the costs of shipping and media ? I thought one of the points of buying stuff through downloads was that it would be a bit cheaper.

Yeah its stupid, you'd think they'd want to be encouraging online purchases. Same problem with steam really.

By the way, where can I get it for £25, seems to be £30 everywhere I look?

Oooo new review 100/100

PTGamers
Spore manages quite some feats – it's accessible for casual gamers, but at the same time so real and dynamic, able to offer hardcore gamers a demanding experience and, obviously, a more appealing one than in "The Sims".
