Sri Lanka massacres

Depressingly predictable.

The plight of Christians around the world is perilous in a number of locations. The middle east has nearly expunged them at this stage.

Not quite. The Christian population of the Middle East is ~25 million (Lebanon's population alone is 41% Christian).

Considering that Christianity is a Middle Eastern religion, it's unlikely to be eliminated from that region.

Too many people try and balance it out in the wrong way though.
If they are hating or unduly cynical (as opposed to demonstrating simple and kind behaviour that actually makes the world better) then they are going about it in the wrong way, yes.

COLOMBO (AFP) - Sri Lanka's police chief made a nationwide alert 10 days before Sunday's (April 21) bomb attacks in the country that suicide bombers planned to hit "prominent churches", according to the warning seen by AFP.

Police chief Pujuth Jayasundara sent an intelligence warning to top officers on April 11 setting out the threat.

"A foreign intelligence agency has reported that the NTJ (National Thowheeth Jama'ath) is planning to carry out suicide attacks targeting prominent churches as well as the Indian high commission in Colombo," said the alert.

The NTJ is a radical Muslim group in Sri Lanka that came to notice last year when it was linked to the vandalisation of Buddhist statues.

At least 156 people were killed in six bomb attacks on Sunday that included three churches.

We are on a rock travelling around 1 of 100 billion stars. Our species is 1 of over half a billion that have ever existed. Our chances of being born are about 1 in 400 trillion. You're not special, but you are ******* lucky. Enjoy your amazing life. You'll never exist again.

Americans are typically Christian, Indians are typically Hindu, and Pakistanis are typically Muslim. “Isn’t that lucky? I was born into the right god. Everyone else is going to hell."

And to add to that, if you don't agree with me that my God is the right one, then i'll pick up arms to prove my God is better.

I don't know what the correct answer is, but i know it isn't religion.

With the NTJ being given precedence as the potential source of these attacks as linked above, I wonder just how long it'll take before "White Supremacists" somehow get blamed by the western media, because the handful of deaths caused by those morons is clearly more terrifying to them than the 2500+ deaths in just 4 months of 2019 caused by Islamic terrorism.

Terrorism, who ever causes it, is an evil which needs stamping out. Maybe if we focused our energies on removing the biggest killer first, rather than one of the most minor, the world would be a safer place for everyone.

"My invisible sky pixie is better than your invisible sky pixie, so I'll maim and murder innocent people until you agree with me.

Just outlaw ALL religions and their practices."

In the Guardians comments - lul.

Are we supposed to be outraged if the victims are Christian? I haven't kept upto date if it's acceptable or fits the narrative of the justice culture we live in.

Communist governments usually abolish religion through mass genocide, if you want to go down that route you're no better than religious extremists who are a tiny minority in the grand scheme of things.
