Hi

I have still to get round to getting an SSD drive and now boot times are starting to slow down.
Can you give advice on what size to get and what to use it for. I was thinking about doing a complete swap over to SSD, but I see most of you appear to use more than one drive for programs and data. My current drive is 1TB with approx 200 GB free.

Any help appreciated

I would advise at least 500GB if you're going SSD-only.

I started off with 250GB SSD + 1TB HDD, but now switched to a 500GB SSD. Majority of the stuff that ended up on the 1TB drive I didn't really need and find a 500GB SSD is ample. But at the same time, if you can afford a 1/2TB SSD, go for it :D

Id agree with the previous post buy the biggest you can afford. Id highly recommend the Samsung Evo Range.

I'm moving to SSD only myself and ill use a normal HDD just to store backups .

when changing drive I normal do a reinstall of o/s and files as this give me a good reason to clean all unwanted programs and files then just re download documents/photos from cloud storage. Ill be using 2x500GB drives for o/s and games / 250GB for photo/video storage and 120GB for documents
