Hi Guys

Just want to check this will work before order some new disks.

2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache
1x Crucial RealSSD M4 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive
1x Crucial 50GB Adrenaline Cache SSD

The 2 Barracuda drives would be in RAID 1.
The 64GB SSD would hold the OS.
The 50GB Cache would be used to cache from the RAID.

Is this possible / will this work?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I know you can cache a raid array, but if your using the OS on an ssd you can only cache the OS ssd/hdd,so the OS would need to be on the hdd raid to cache those drives

I would scrap the second ssd,and just raid the hdd's and put the OS onto your ssd

What are you planning to put on the raid 1 array?
If you plan to have any apps on there, then just get a 120gb M4 instead and install the apps there, and ditch the cache drive.
If you are just putting movies etc on the raid 1, there is not much need to cache it so ditch the cache drive.

The RAID will have pretty much everything that isn't the OS including hundreds of gigs of game installs. Basically I wanted it to slightly speed up game loading times.
