SSD Choice

Hey all,

I am looking for a SSD with a 64-100gb capacity for my rig. This will be my first time buying one, and I was looking for some advice as to which hard drive I should purchase.

I was specifically looking for an SSD with the fastest read and write speeds.

I am using windows 7 64 bit.

Bought and installed one of these last week. Very good drive (can't compare to others as it was my first SSD)

The Intel M25 is certainly the safe choice. I have an 80gb as my C: drive and it does the job, but it just doesn't excite me.

It certainly didn't 'wow' me as much as my first SSD, a 64gb Samsung. The Sammy installed Win7 much faster and felt snappier overall. It just a shame Samsung couldn't be bothered to 'Trim' their whole range of drives.

If I buy again I will look for both high read and write speeds. I'd also get a much larger capacity unit. These small drives just fill up too fast.

Can't find the link now, but I was under the impression that it would be Q1 of next year before we see "Lyndonville" drives available.
