So i've cloned my HDD to my 240GB Crucial SSD. When I unplug my HDD and run through SSD only, it says theres no operating system on it, but all the files are there.
Im unsure what it could be? or do i need a fresh install -.-

What software did you use?

The Software used might not of copied the master boot record, when you went through the options it should have showed two partitions on your old mechanical drive.

Might be worth double checking the boot order in the BIOS (just in case)

Then have a go at redoing the image again, in the past I have had to do it twice.

I might just do a fresh install, but i'm unsure how to do it from USB, with my motherboard BIOS, Gigabyte Z87-D3HP Intel Z87

If you do decide a fresh install make sure no other drives are present and double check that ACHI is enabled in the BIOS and change the boot order to boot off the USB drive.

Just boot from the windows disc, and just the ssd attached and do a startup repair

Also make sure you set the SSR as first boot device in the bios

Startup repair will fix missing bootsector

Should work yh,if you can make an iso of the windows disc, then drag it to USB,then boot from USB and do startup repair

Then boot from ssd

You can use imgburn to create an iso file
